Walnut Creek, CALIF —

Amerit Consulting and Amerit Fleet Solutions are proud to announce that on November 14, 2012 they were awarded the 2012 John K. Lopez Award for Business Excellence, from the California Department of Veterans Affairs.

As the highest award given by the CDVA annually, the Amerit Companies were recognized for their profound and positive impact on the well being of California’s Service-Disabled Veterans and their families.

“I am extremely honored and very proud of the dedication and hard work that all of our employees have put in over the years,” said Gary Herbold, Founder of Amerit Consulting and CEO of Amerit Fleet Solutions. “It is only through their commitment that this award was made possible. It is a privilege to be recognized for our efforts to triumph over disabled prejudices, our involvement with other DVBEs, and the selfless sacrifices made by our employees to help our country’s heroes as they return to civilian life.”

Herbold and the employees of the Amerit Companies are actively involved with more than nine charities supporting the veteran community. Through donations, volunteering, training, and hiring initiatives they have been able to help America’s returning heroes and their families overcome their injuries, gain financial stability, and return to a fulfilling and productive civilian life.
