National Staffing Employee Week 2021
Monday, September 13th begins National Staffing Employee Week which is promoted by the American Staffing Association. It was started to help recognize the millions of temporary and contract employees that have made a tremendous impact on our economy. Throughout the week, staffing firms will host events honoring their employees to show appreciation.
As many are not aware but staffing firms have been around for quite some time. They were first established in 1940s during World War II. As soldiers were sent overseas, they left many open positions behind, leaving business struggling to find help. Staffing firms then were established as they were able to fill the void of the need for workers and were able to hire quickly. But the need didn’t stop, when the soldiers returned home, they had trouble finding work which made staffing agencies quite helpful. And now as of today, there are around 53,000 Staffing/Employment services helping workers throughout the United States finding temporary and permanent work. And these staffing firms employ about 6.3 million people.
Starting Monday – September 13th – we will be celebrating our employees by hosting a virtual raffle. We will be sending our temporary employees an email on Monday that will allow you to enter into our virtual raffle to win a CASH prize. The winner will be announced on Friday, September 17th.
